Meet the Doulas

Hello! My name is Carrin and I’m the owner of Whole Heart Doulas and I’’m so excited to support you on your personal journey through the transition of birth and parenthood.

Being your doula-- and supporting your family through this life-changing experience-- requires a great amount of trust. So let me share a little bit about who I am...

Born in northwestern Arkansas, I moved to Washington state in my teens and now proudly consider it my home. I love the Pacific Northwest: its sights and scenes, its industry, its people.

I am a proud dog and plant mom and enjoy spending time in the kitchen getting creative with cooking recipes…but I can’t bake to save my life.

My heart has always found fulfillment in providing support for others, long before I ever knew I wanted to support you as a doula.

I wore many hats on the road to finding my passion. While I spent time working as a CNA and later, a licensed hair stylist, it was my time spent working as a personal nanny that set me on the path which would eventually lead me to starting Whole Hearts Doulas.

As a nanny, I watched families grow and learn together, and found so much satisfaction and happiness in supporting them as they did so. I realized how true the old adage “it takes a village” really is, and how much I wanted to be a part of that village for as many families as I could.

Hi my name is Aidan and I'm so excited to be your Postpartum Doula during this wonderful time in your life. A little about me...I was born in Houston, TX but grew up on the Eastside of Seattle. I have a whole zoo of animals at home, a wonderful partner and a 9 year old boy who is full of life with a BIG personality. I love hosting get-together's so I can cook for my loved ones, going on hikes, traveling, music and movie nights at home with my family. I am a caretaker by nature, and have always seemed to steer towards careers that let me serve and help people. From being a nanny, to house management, and also having been licensed hair stylist, my desire to help people and make their lives easier for them has been been a focal point my entire life.

I am one of many mothers who had a very difficult time during pregnancy, birth, and post birth. I had preeclampsia and my son and I were lucky to make it out alive. Afterwards, I struggled with terrible postpartum depression while also being a single mother. It was a very difficult time in my life full of a roller coaster of emotions. I felt like I had no one to talk to who could relate to me, or be there for me in the ways that I so desperately needed. Because of my own experience, I have so much empathy for parents no matter their individual experience. Knowing that I can be there for them during a time that can be so exciting, but also sometimes very scary, gives me so much purpose. Whether it's helping out around your home, letting you get some well deserved sleep, or being a shoulder to cry on while we drink tea on the couch, I am here to support you and your family during this amazing period of growth.
